First of all, I want to tell the history of this brilliant song. This song have many version according to their perspective meaning. 

On 1971,this song was released by American recording artist, Marvin Gaye at the Motown subsidiary in Tamla which originally inspired by a police brutality and violence incident in the city's 

Peoples Park during a protest held by anti-war activists which witnessed by Renaldo Benson which who responsible in composing this song. This song was oriented in sounds by jazz, classical music orchestration and gospel but this song mainly as a meditation on the troubles and problems that facing by world right now and maybe in future.

Then, in 1986, "What Going On ?" song was covered by Cyndi Lauper on her second album, True Colors. In March 1987, it was released as the third single from the album. On the album version, the song starts off with a series of gunshots in reference to the Vietnam War.

This song was remake by Rock Aid Armenia which one of way to collect donation and gain money to help the victims who are affected by the Armenian earthquake on 1988. This collection considered as a humanitarian effort that make by British music industry as their sympathy and humanity to the earthquake victims.

Lastly, this song was tribute by a group of popular and well known artists that released in an album that containing many version of "What Going On ?" song from the original song, cover by Cyndi Lauper and for the humanity project.But this version as released under the name "Artists Against AIDS Worldwide" album that contribute to the AIDS programs in Africa and other poverty regions.This tribute song was recorded shortly before the September 11, 2011 tragedy then this song was decided to be as a fund to American Red Cross for the September 11 attacks.

This music video was performed by Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Nelly Furtado, Destiny's Child, Backstreet Boys and even the original singer daughter Nona Gaye and many other popular singers included.

This was a very good song in describing on human rights. If you saw on the music video showing that all those singers are wearing a blindfold cloth which each of the cloth was written a word on it such voter, catholic, believer, Irish, black, consumer, Asian and more. All this words represent each of the rights that every human in this world has their own right to get it.

World are not longer safe and secure for human to live because so many wars are happening around the world nowadays. So many people are dying, crying and suffering affects of this heartless and unacceptable war. War always happen when there was a conflict or problems or have a different opinion between both sides while everyone knows that war was not the answer in solving a problems. We must unite with each other by hear and accept the new ideas. This is to make sure that all the problems faced was settled down and not involving innocent peoples. Most of the survived adults and children lost their parents, family, shelters, education, foods, clean water and their rights as citizen of a country. War not only cost one life but also reducing world economy, productivity and money supply because all those money are required for redevelop a region affected and the survivor have to develop their own strength to stay alive.

This song also showing us that every human reserve their own rights as a living human. Every one deserve their own right same as other people regardless race, religions and skin color. This music video are related to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) that I have learned recently. According the UDHR on article 1 stated that all human being are born free and equal in dignity and rights which this is mean that every human are born with their own rights and theirs have their own right to claim that. Furthermore,on UDHR also stated that everyone who live is entitled to all rights and freedom without distinction in race, sex, skin color, language, religion, political, origin, country, territory and more. This music video mostly showing many right that usually be claimed by peoples.

In conclusion, war is not a solution in solving a problem but it another way to adding more problem.
